14.06.05 - Tikal

Um 5 Uhr morgens (noch vor Sonnenaufgang) fuhr ich mit einigen anderen Backpackern in einem Minibus nach Tikal, einer der berühmtesten Maya-Städte inmitten des guatemaltekischen Dschungels. Da bin ich dann mit einer Karte in der Hand allein durch den Dschungel von Pyramide zu Tempel und all den anderen Ruinen gewandert. Am beeindruckendsten (unter vielen anderen faszinierenden Anblicken) fand ich die Ausblicke vom Templo IV und von der Mundo Perdido. Soweit das Auge reicht nur Dschungel, aus dem ab und zu die riesigen Pyramiden und Tempel der untergegangenen Maya-Kultur ragen. Umwerfend!
Als ich mich daran irgendwann sattgesehen und zahllose Fotos gemacht hatte, fuhr ich mit dem Bus zurück nach Flores.
